A Delightful Diwali For Bhavishya Yaan Students

This Diwali, RCB and the Rotary Club of Queen’s Necklace spread cheer by donating sarees and suits to the Bhavishya Yaan students of G K Marg Municipal School, and plan to do the same across all others in due course.

In this first-of-its-kind project between the two Clubs, donors Karishma and Pooja who own Bharat Vastralaya and manufacture sarees and suits under the Karishma brand, committed to donate 1000 pieces (every month for one year) to RC of Mumbai Queen’s Necklace, who will be identifying deserving persons to benefit from this kind gesture.

Introduced by PP Nirav Shah, the initiative was well-received by the students who welcomed them with handmade Diwali cards and gifted Rotarians diyas that they painted themselves, while 8 alumni spoke about their journey and volunteered to facilitate the program. Amongst those present were President Nominee Jagdish Malkani, Preeti Mehta, Manish Reshamwala, Madhusudan Daga, Freyaz Shroff and Rotaryannes Poonam Surana, Damini, Asha Shah, Rachana, Bijal Kara, and coordinating Rotaryannes Ekta Shah and Priyanka Jatia from RCB. And from RC of Mumbai Queen’s Necklace were President Rajen Shah and his team of Rotarians.
