Date: 19th July 2017

Our Bhavishya Yaan students of GK Marg municipal school Lower Parel got an opportunity to visit the most exciting Science Exhibition this year – The Science Express Train. Science Express has become the largest and the longest running, most visited mobile science exhibition and has twelve entries in the Limca Book of Records. This exhibition is an initiative by the Indian Government. The state–of-theart exhibition aboard SECAS aims to create awareness among various sections of the society especially amongst the students about various issues & challenges associated with Climate Change and how it can be combated through mitigation and adaptation. The exhibition is spread out in the 16 coach AC train and each compartment has different issues that are covered. The volunteers inside the exhibition talked and explained the students about the various issues of climate change, concepts of adaptation & mitigation, and what as a citizen can we do in India. They also enjoyed the kidzone section where there were games, puzzles, and a hands–on lab. It was definitely an enjoyable field trip for our students. It was fun learning and informative, all under one roof. We thank the Bhavishya Yaan Committee of Rotary Club of Bombay for letting us know of such an initiative and our coordinator Ekta Shah for helping us arrange the educational field trip.
