FOR COVID RELIEF 1ST WAVE

Rotary Club of Bombay has collected till date over INR 3,60,00,000 towards Covid-19 relief and so far we have carried out the following activities:

  1. Supply of 53 ventilators to hospitals run by the Government of Maharashtra
  2. Supply of 6,250 PPEs to various hospitals in Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru
  3. Distribution of free, cooked and packed meals to more than 800,000 persons so far @ 30,000 meals every day from kitchens operated and supervised by us to the homeless, migrant workers and daily wage earners
  4. Supply of 20,000 packets of ready to eat food packets of Upma and Poha to the curfew stricken people of Malegaon (4 hours from Mumbai). In addition we are distributing free cooked and packed meals currently @ 1000 meals every day until 3rd May, 2020
  5. Supply of 1150 N95 Respiratory Masks
  6. Supply of contactless digital thermometers and Oxymeter Pulse machines to various hospitals in Mumbai
  7. Supply of 1200 Face Shields to the Sanitation workers who maintain various Community toilets in the slums of Mumbai
  8. Supply of 5000 Sanitisation Hand wash bottles to various agencies
  9. Supply of coffee/tea vending machines to various Police Stations

We have received a contribution of INR 9,060,800 (INR 90.60 lakh) from Atos IT and Global Solutions and Services Private Limited, Mumbai. This is towards purchase of 20 Ventilators and 4,000 PPE kits (Personal Protection Equipment). This was facilitated by TRF Trustee Gulam Vahanvaty.

  1. Centralised Sterilisation Unit at Masina Hospital
  2. Mental Wellness Centre, Masina Hospital
  3. 10 Bipap machines were distributed to 5 Hospitals
  4. 20 ICU beds at masina
  5. 20 ICU monitors at Masina
  6. 3 HFNC machines to Masina
  7. 1000 Masks
  8. 650 Ration kits
  9. 2500 sanitiser bottles (500 ml) to Mumbai Police
  10. 15 Dialysis machines to Rotary Dialysis Centre in Ghatkopar
  11. 25,000 masks to BMC
  12. An Oxygen Generating Plant estimated at a value of INR Rs 3 cr will be installed at the Mahanama Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Centre, Varanasi. We are grateful to the Embassy of France in India and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
