Objective:

  • Revive participation of inactive schools
  • Set up meetings with the schools
  • Get all of them to commit to just one project of their choice for the year.

Projects undertaken by Schools :

  • The Interact club of Fort Convent school had a clean up drive under ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan’ on their school premises on September 19th, 2019. The Interact club of Fort Convent also participated in an international project with the Interact Club of Parapua where they made a short video making a typical recipe from India, naming its origin while cooking. They also had a newspaper drive and a visit to Prem Dan to interact with underprivileged children.
  • The Anjuman I Islam High School participated in the District Competition organised by Rotary which included paintings, story writing, and slogan writing.

Cathedral & John Connon High School held several projects/activities including :
Trip to habitat for humanity at Karjat, writing for differently abled students, joining hands with Roti Bank Foundation to provide meals to patients and families outside Tata Memorial Hospital & Bombay Hospital.

St. Marys School ICSE also had several activities including :
Needle work, Power point presentation highlighting social evils faced in India. Students were asked to prepare & display thought provoking charts highlighting social & environmental issues, and a visit of students from Ashagadh (A tribal school) during Diwali break.

Many schools planned activities post their exam schedule to ensure the students have free time. However, these were cancelled due to schools being closed due to Covid-19.
