Dr. Thrity M. Talaty Expired On Sunday, August 8th, 2021

Dr. Thrity M. Talaty expired on Sunday, August 8th, 2021, age 74 years, after a prolonged illness due to Multiple Sclerosis.

She has been the largest single donor to our Rotary Club of Bombay. She donated the munificent sum of Rs. 4 crore in memory of the late Rtn. Phiroze Ratanshah Vakil for the Eye Centre run by our Club at Talwada.

Thrity came to Talwada for the inauguration of the PRVEC on November 26th, 2017, inspite of being wheelchair bound and in excruciating pain. Everyone who came to Talwada on the occasion was amazed at her courage as well as generosity.

The Eye Centre will continue to retain this name for a minimum of 20 years. The name may be changed thereafter only if the Rotary receives a new donation exceeding Rs 4 crore.
