She goes to a nearby municipality school whenever she gets time or when her mom stays home. One of the beneficiaries of our Girls Nutrition Programme, she waits for our vehicle eagerly. She has been feeling more energetic and fit.
  KHUSHI KOTHARE
“There are six members in my family; my mother is a house maid and father works on a farm. My mom earns Rs 4,000 monthly and my father brings vegetables from the farm where he works. We eat only vada pav. My sister and I have been eating the nutritious food here for more than a month and are feeling much better overall.”
  SAVITA PAWAR
Her mother is unwell at home and her father is the only earner. As the eldest child, Savita stays home and does the cleaning, cooking. She is very weak physically. A doctor has told her parents she needs nutritional food and rest but that is impossible. Now, after RCB’s nutrition programme, she has gained some weight and feels lucky.
  SANDHYA LOKHANDE AND SISTER
“My mother used to cook once a day and we all got a little bit which was not enough for the whole day. My father drinks a lot and beats my mom. He does not earn; my mom sells vegetables and supports us. Ever since my sister and I have been having breakfast daily at the study centre, my mother is able to save money to pay our school fees.”
  PRIYA DALAVI
“I stay with my uncle as my parents are no more. My aunt and I help him on the farm. I eat vada pav most of the time. Now, I am so happy you provide us healthy, fresh food everyday. I wait for Didi to come and give us food. I have gained 1 kg since having this healthy food. Thank you, Rotary Club of Bombay.”
