Govt. recognition for RCB at CSR conference

A CSR conference was held at NESCO Exhibition Centre Goregaon, Mumbai, on Thursday, December 8th, 2022

The Swarajya Bhumi Kokan Abhiyan in association with the state Government of Maharashtra had organised this conference for the Konkan division which includes coastal districts Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.

The CSR conference was aimed at bringing together corporates and grassroots organisations to bring collaborative effort towards rural development projects in the Konkan region. In order to bridge this gap, the Nepenthes CSR Hub was launched in presence of Minister for Industry Mr. Uday Samant.

Qualitative work of selected NGOs and CSR were presented for the participants to understand and appreciate efforts taken by them in rural development projects, water conservation projects, environment protection, livelihood, and solar projects, etc.

Rotary Club of Bombay was felicitated by the Minister for Industry Mr. Uday Samant and Mr. Prasad Lad (MLC Vidhan Parishad) for the village development programme in Gale (Vada) village and efforts taken to converge with various government schemes for tribal villagers. The felicitation was accepted by RCB President Vineet Bhatnagar and Rtn. Bimal Mehta.

The Audio Visual presentation on Gale village was shown to the dignitaries by Rahul Tiwrekar of Diganta Swaraj Foundation, which was followed by an indepth and enriching panel discussion of various stakeholders of the CSR and community support groups. Both President Vineet and Rtn. Bimal Mehta participated in the panel discussion. Other panellists included representatives from Tata Capital, AllCargo Logistics etc.
