AY elders and Lighthouse children celebrate World Digital Detox Day

The Taj group, in keeping with their ethos of wellness for all and inclusivity,
conducted community wellness sessions for around 210 beneficiaries of Ananda
Yaan and Lighthouse.

Dr. Aniruddha Madhusudan Bhide  conducted a yoga and meditation session for children and their parents at Lighthouse (a project for children of Machhimaar community at Cuffe Parade)
He started with Om chanting, followed by yoga postures, pranayam and guided meditation.

He shared the importance of digital detox with the children and ways to control the usage of digital devices. The children also enjoyed snacks after the session which team Taj President graciously sent for all 55 participants.

At Ananda Yaan’s E Moses centre, 72 senior citizens of Ananda Yaan benefited from yoga, meditation and new breathing techniques such as Ujjayi Pranayama Ocean Breathing. At the Byculla AY centre, 89 seniors benefited from the stretching and exercises for hand, shoulders & eyes. The session ended with fun challenges like longest one leg hold, and 10 Surya namaskar. Taj Hospitality provided a healthy detox tea to each participant.
