In Camera Fellowship with Kalpana Shah

 In In Camera

Like the first In Camera Fellowship, the second one too was a grand success with over 35 Rotarians attending the talk show by renowned artist, curator and art collector, Kalpana Shah.

Held on 17th August, Kalpana was gracious to host the fellowship at her Tao Art Gallery in Worli.

It was an evening quite out-of-the-ordinary. Set amidst beautiful paintings and spot lighting, Kalpana spoke of her endearing journey, which started as an art collector. It was with sheer passion and relentless pursuit that led her to set up the prestigious gallery, represent celebrated artists, and curate shows in India as well as internationally.

During the interactive session over wine and cheese, she reiterated her belief that art cannot be viewed in isolation but as having a cohesive relationship with life itself.

Having has the delicious snacks sponsored by Rtn Dinesh Lal, the evening came to an end. Everyone present thanked Kalpana for being a perfect host and sharing her compelling journey, and also Rtn Rekha Tanna for reinstating people’s association with art.
