Jal Jeevan Waters the Hopes of Villagers

 In Water Resources

THE RCB water committee has been busy. Three more villages were supplied with safe drinking water facilities through the Club’s Jal Jeevan programme for rural Maharashtra.

On July 12th and 13th, 2019, our Water Resources Committee members Rtns. Abhishek Saraf and Akhil Sanghi, together with RCB’s project manager Nikhil Sonawane, inaugurated water plants in Rajderwadi (Nashik), Nagaon Khurd (Jalgaon) and Navanagar (Nandurbar) villages.

Villagers were grateful to receive these water filtration plants which would provide the children, women and men with disease-free, clean, drinking water. The beneficiaries kindly expressed their gratitude through a mix of welcomes, including a village gathering, pandal, dhol, tilak, tika, garland and a shawl respectfully draped on the shoulders of the visiting Rotarians.
