Over 250 units of blood collected in camp at Churchgate

District 3140 started the Rotary Year 2015-16 with a mega blood donation drive styled “Drop of Hope” at the busy concourse of Churchgate Station.

The programme was organised jointly by a number of Rotary Clubs. They were assisted by two Rotaract Clubs sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bombay, viz., the Rotaract Clubs of Bombay and of Hinduja College.

Rotaractors from both these Clubs were actively involved in the organisation as well as the facilitation at the camp. The blood donation drive was inaugurated by District Governor Subhash Kulkarni and was in operation all through the day, from 10 am to 6 pm. A total of 250 people donated one unit of blood each, thus making the event a resounding success.
