RCB crafts a heritage day for BY

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya organised “World Heritage Week” for beneficiaries of the Rotary Club of Bombay. Two teachers and 20 8th-grade students from our Colaba Bhavishya Yaan school participated in this workshop. Ms. Vandana Bindu M a n c h a n d a n i , Director of INTACH Company, delivered a brief speech and provided information about INTACHHCCD which aids the community in revitalising the 300-yearold craft, employing new techniques. They briefed the students about rug weaving, craft, and the restoration of Rani ka Mahal. INTECH trained and supported local craftsmen in the restoration work.

Students were also shown processes behind lac bangles, pottery, block printing, Warli printing and paper making. The students actively participated in these workshops, demonstrating great enthusiasm and enjoyment in the learning process.
