Rcb Diwali Celebrations

Last week, The Rotary Club of Bombay celebrated Dhanteras in style with its Fellowship Committee headed by Sandip Agarwala rolling out a grand traditional Diwali lunch at the Taj. The lunch was sponsored by Rtns. Jamshed Banaji, Renu Basu, Sherebanu Baldiwala, Samir Chinai, Ashwin Didwania, Dilip Dalal, Vijay Dhawan, Ravi Fotedar, Vivek Himatsinghka, Farhat Jamal, C.S. Lodha, Preeti Mehta, Rajeev Narvekar, Pratap Padode, Manish Reshamwala, Mehul Sampat and Ashwin Thakkar.

The meeting witnessed the induction of a new member Dilip Piramal introduced by PP Shailesh Haribhakti. President Elect Vijay Jatia presented symbols of recognition to those who had donated handsomely to The Rotary Foundation. Many more members will be presented pins in the future meetings.

With most of the members dressed in traditional attire, the Taj Ballroom presented a very colourful sight and the camaraderie and bonhomie reflected true Rotary spirit.

President Ramesh Narayan who was laid low with a viral fever could not attend the meeting. He sent his festive greetings to the members.
