The Rotary Club of Bombay will confer the speaker of the day, Professor M M Sharma, with the Sohrab Godrej Award for Science & Technology, for his pioneering work in the field of Chemical Engineering, his path-breaking efforts in which UDCT got autonomy of UGC, and his innovative studies and contributions to Science & Technology. Prof. Man Mohan Sharma is amongst the world’s foremost experts in chemical engineering. He has dedicated his life to the fields of chemical science, engineering and technology.

HR collegians treat the underprivileged

Around 150 students from the Rotaract Club of HR College, Churchgate visited orphanages and schools for differently
abled students and institutes for underprivileged children during Christmas vacation.

Around 200 children were then taken to a Christmas-themed party at Phoenix Market City, Kurla, where they were treated to a music and magic show.

Riyansh Vanigodda, a student, said, “Christmas is a festival of joy. So, we decided to spread joy. We played Santa
Claus to the underprivileged children so that even they had something to be happy about”.
