Vaidu Women Taking Strides Ahead In Creating Their Own Identity

The Adult Literacy Programme (ALP), started by RCB for Mumbai’s Vaidu tribal women in association with TCS, aims to
provide education.

This month, we invited officers from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) to share information with our learners on making documents like Aadhar card and Pan card.

An MCGM officer also explained many useful government schemes to them like the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana etc. They further clarified that to take the benefit of such schemes, the applying beneficiary must have documents like Aadhar card, PAN card etc.

With basic literacy being a given, our Vaidu learners are now motivated to take this next step to create their own
identity.
