 In From the President’s Desk

One cannot emphasize enough the importance of transportation in a city. No wonder it is called it’s ‘lifeline’. Though our city Mumbai has seen colossal development in transport infrastructure in the last decade, the ever increasing population in Mumbai is rendering the present day infrastructure facilities inadequate. The growing vehicular population and consequent traffic congestion are still issues that need to be addressed. On an average, a Mumbaikar still travels a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 4-5 hours a day to work.

It was good to hear from our last week’s speaker that Mumbai is geared up for some revolutionary development in transport infrastructure.

Mumbai is the highest tax paying city in India. Let’s hope that our political masters finally give our city and its Mumbaikars its due.
