 In From the President’s Desk

It was wonderful to be part of the Taare Zameen Par contest amongst our brilliantly creative Bhavishya Yaan students. With over 500 children participating, the dedication of the teachers and the commitment of the Rotaryannes was commendable. Thank you Priyasri for inviting celebrated artists such as Brinda Miller, Sunil Padwal and Devita Saraf to judge the contest and encourage our budding artists.

The weekend gave me an opportunity to interact with some of our enthusiastic Rotractors. Having attended the installations at the Hinduja and Jai Hind colleges, afforded me a chance to experience the vibrancy of youth channelized into social work.

The 2nd In Camera with Kalpana Shah was a stimulating one. Hearing about her passion for art, and her journey from being a housewife to a gallerist, an artist and an art collector, reminded me of how incomplete we humans are without art. Congratulations Rekha, and thank you for keeping our sensitivities alive!
