BY SUMMER CAMP AT NMJ KICKS OFF WITH A GREEN MISSION
Bhavishya Yaan students of NMJ began their Summer Camp today, March 25th, 2025, with enthusiasm and purpose. The theme for this year’s camp is Environmental Sustainability and Conservation—a topic both exciting and immensely relevant for shaping the citizens of tomorrow.
Usually scheduled post exams, the camp had to be brought forward due to BMC’s extension of exam dates till April 25th. This has resulted in a staggered camp, to be conducted alongside ongoing examinations. Despite the adjustments, the energy and engagement remained high. The day began on a soulful note with the song “We are the World” to set the mood. This was followed by an interactive session discussing the environment’s vital role in our lives. Teachers then guided students through the concept of environmental degradation and its various causes.
Children were introduced to new vocabulary, watched engaging videos, and expressed their ideas through poster-making—depicting both the damage to the environment and ways to preserve it.
It was a fulfilling experience for the 90-odd students who attended. The session ran from 9:15 am to 12:30 pm. Both students and teachers look forward to another enriching day tomorrow, building on today’s momentum to help our planet breathe easier.
