LIGHTHOUSE ANNUAL SPORTS DAY

Lighthouse successfully hosted its Annual Sports Day on February 9th, 2025, marking yet another milestone in our journey of holistic development. We were honoured to welcome Mr. Moreshwar Patil, the President of Machimar Nagar, along with President Satyan Israni, Co-chair Rtn. Rajesh Shah, Rtn. Charu Aggarwal, Rtn. Meher Vakil, PP Ramesh Narayan, PN Manish Reshamwala, Rtn. Ptn. Jaya Prasad, Rtn. SV Prasad, Rtn. Dilip Piramal, Rtn Pilloo Aga, and Rtn. Ptn. Malti Jain, who graced the occasion with their presence. The event commenced with the rendition of the national anthem, setting a patriotic tone for the day. This was followed by an impressive march past by our senior students from 3rd to 5th standard, showcasing discipline and coordination.

Our extracurricular programmes have flourished over time, and this year’s Sports Day provided the perfect platform to highlight our progress. The Taekwondo and Yoga performances were a testament to the dedication of our students and trainers. A particularly remarkable yoga presentation was led by Sahil, a Bhavishya Yaan alumnus, who joined us six months ago. His performance demonstrated the high level of skill our students have achieved in yoga. Meanwhile, the vibrant and rhythmic drill display by Senior KG, 1st, and 2nd standard students was a crowd favourite.

The track events kicked off with enthusiastic participation from our youngest students. Junior KG competed in fun races such as the puppet race, balancing ball race, and duck race. Senior KG students engaged in the ducky race, shape race, and the coin race, while the 1st and 2nd graders took part in innovative races like the ice cream cone race, “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Cup” race, and the backward race. Senior students from classes 3 to 5 demonstrated their agility in the crab race, Drizzy sprint race, and relay race. Adding an exciting twist to the event, our alumni participated in a thrilling puzzle race, bringing back fond memories of their time at Lighthouse. Parents also joined in the fun, with mothers competing in the balancing balloon race and fathers taking on the challenge of the backward race. Our Rotarians and staff members enthusiastically took part in their own fun races, adding to the festive spirit of the day.

The Lighthouse Annual Sports Day was a resounding success, celebrating teamwork, sportsmanship, and community spirit. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Manisha Ahuja, who meticulously planned the entire event and continues to voluntarily lead the Lighthouse project with dedication and passion.

We also thank Rtn. Pilloo Aga for bringing juice for all 100 participants and Rtn. Charu Aggarwal for treating the teachers of Lighthouse.
