IF IT’S TUESDAY, IT MUST BE ROTARY AT THE TAJ

With the festivities behind us, we are all looking forward to our first meeting in person at the Taj after a gap of 20 months.

What most Rotarians have missed is the unique fellowship of our Tuesday meetings.

Every Tuesday, week on week, and year on year, we have met each other, greeted each other, lunched together, discussed our projects, and generally had a fun afternoon. And though Zoom kept us connected and reminded us of our
Tuesday trysts, it just never felt the same.

Through the pandemic, much has been discussed whether one needs face-to-face meetings and whether with the new digital technology one can circumvent human interaction and carry on in a digital space.

I think, for us Rotarians, the answer is a big no! The connection we get, the bonhomie we feel, and the personal
interaction and joyful exchanges can never be replicated on a virtual platform.

Fellowship is a big part of Rotary, and the human and personal connections we make are what our movement is all about
Only in our togetherness can we serve the way we do: each one supporting the whole!.
