Personal Finance Management Talk For Night Study Kids

The Rotary Club of Bombay’s Vocational and Night Studies Committee organised a workshop on Personal Finance Management. This was in collaboration with the Bombay YMCA’s Outreach and Development Department for students of
the Vocational Training Centre of Excellence. It was held on April 29th, 2022, at the Bombay YMCA- VTCE.

The workshop was led by Mrs. Shveta Kinra, Group VP of DCB Bank, accompanied by her colleagues, Mr. Manecksha Dee, Ms. Afreen Mulla and Mr. Pradeep Pardesi. The session was designed to educate young adults about the importance of personal finance, how to invest safely and plan for the future.

Throughout the session, the attendees were made familiar with the various tools and materials used in the banking process. A total of 50 students and staff benefitted from the programme and were grateful for the informative and interactive session. They learned simple banking procedures, insurance, investments, and internet banking. Some students were keen to pursue careers in banking and Mrs. Shveta Kinra generously offered to consider resumes from the vocational students for entry level positions at their bank.
