Skill Development Forges Ahead
The Rotary Club of Bombay’s Skill Development Committee conducted a number of aptitude tests across various demographics. So far, 48 children have taken the test from all the five Bhavishya Yaan schools. This is deemed a very good response given the network challenges faced by the children – connectivity, signal strength, data plan limitations. Nearly 25 of these children are in their villages and have not come back as yet.
Individual career counselling sessions will commence online on January 15th with both parents and student. The sessions will take place using a combination of English, Hindi as well as Marathi. (Sample of the Aptitude Test result is attached.)
The Skill Development Committee has also completed significant work in Database Development. The Committee has identified a person who will collate the data of all students from 8th to 10th Grades in all Bhavishya Yaan schools. Starting from the 10th Standard of the five BY Schools, she has already commenced contacting each of the children, collecting the data and inputting it in the database which would be saved and available in the cloud.
Once completed, permitted users anywhere can login and download the required reports – be it BY or this Committee or the Scholarship Committee.
