A TRIP TO MUSEUM “FOR CHILDREN, BY CHILDREN !”

 In Bhavishya Yaan

Thirty-five children from GK Marg, Bhavishya Yaan, went to Mumbai’s first exclusive Children’s Museum at CSMVS on April 18th, spread over 6,000 sq ft space dedicated exclusively to children.

The first exhibition at the Children’s Museum has been curated by a group of 25 young curators aged eight to 14 years
old.

The visit to the museum was a great learning opportunity for the children of G. K. Marg school. The Children’s Museum
taught them the values of friendship, compassion, environment consciousness, peace and courage through murals, sculptures and paintings. The children also participated in activities like Egyptian mummy design, making bookmarks and foil painting.

The highlights of the visit were observing the children doing the freehand wall painting activity and interacting with a couple of foreigners including a Spanish family who were delighted to meet their new friend from India, ‘Krishna’.

It was an absolute delight to see the children taking an initiative and talking to people from different cultures and
their confidence in talking about their visit and what they enjoyed the most. They were amazed to see the 2000-year-old Egyptian mummy in the Museum.
