Bhaviya Yaan Celebrates 26th January with 700 students

The Republic Day assembly was celebrated with great pomp at all five centres of Bhavishyayaan, witnessing active participation from over 700 students! The students were educated about the Indian Constitution, the Fundamental Rights and duties and what these terms actually constitute in their lives. Teachings were imparted through songs, dance-skits, plays and speeches.

The Assembly proved to be the apt platform on multiple levels for students – it helped them understand the Indian context better; as also to overcome stage-fright, and add to their confidence levels in English-speaking. Some schools even conducted tree plantation event to mark the significance of this day, and highlight to the students how they could small things for their country to make it a better place BY’s coordinating Rotaryannes were all present at their respective centres, along with Co-Chairman Rajesh Shah with wife, Asha Shah, also an active BY volunteer.

The Bombay head for Vidya (BY’s education partner), Manisha Ahuja, who had trained the children from different centres for the Republic Day Assembly, was present as well and shared her vision for the children. The Assembly ended with a pledge from all to be good and responsible student citizens of India.
