FOR EVERY HEAD A HAT!

 In Ananda Yaan

Members of Ananda Yaan, Byculla made hats at a creative origami workshop taken by Bobbie Vijayakkar on March 15. Bobbie Vijayakkar or Bob, as everyone calls him, is a 65-year-young acclaimed architect and interior designer by profession and an origami enthusiast. Bobbie graduated from Sir JJ college of Architecture, Mumbai in 1977.

“I’m just 25-years-young with 40 years of experience,” says a high-spirited Bob who one can always find busy, making creative origami models and developing folds and working out simpler ways to make students of all ages understand origami models.

Bobbie specialises in ‘utility origami’ which he believes can be used by the student and not just be a piece of decoration. He propagates the ideology of wealth from waste.

RCB thanks artist Brinda Miller for introducing Bob to our project. RCB also thanks Bobbie for taking time out for Ananda Yaan’s senior citizens who welcomed him with a traditional tilak and blessings.

The workshop was organised by Rtn. Vandan Shah and coordinated by the team from the Dignity Foundation.
